I purchased this roll of canvas about 20 years ago at an art supply store in Shinjuku. It has been stored rolled up and used as such, and I rewound it to measure the length. It is 115cm wide with selvedges and 496cm long. It is 100% linen. I believe it was made by Funaoka, a Japanese manufacturer. You can use it as is, or apply gesso to your preferred thickness for oil or acrylic painting. The texture is medium or medium-coarse, I'm not very familiar with it, so please check the images. If you have any requests, I can provide photos comparing it to something else. I think it's a good, durable fabric with a tight weave. The wrinkles on the edges will disappear when stretched on a wooden frame. There may be some loose threads. There are stains on the selvedges as shown in photos 6 and 7. There are occasional knots where the thread is slightly bunched up, as shown in photo 5. The photos also include images of similar fabric from the same roll. I can offer a small discount.
