This is a very old iron tsuba. It's a slightly elongated oval tsuba with a lustrous, beautiful iron ground. It's a large, ruggedly made tsuba, likely made to fit the mounting of a practical uchigatana (long sword). It's well-forged and has a wonderful, blackish iron flavor. It's quite heavy, weighing over 210g. I believe it's a piece from a considerably old era. 8.1 cm × 7.55 cm × 6.2 mm
