Ferris-Shacknove Wire Basket / Wire Basket 1950s A rare wire basket by Ferris-Shacknove from the 1950s. The lightweight and sculptural design using black painted wire is very beautiful, and it's a piece that looks great just by being placed. The unique form that rises on both sides and the four-legged structure are characteristic of Ferris-Shacknove's wire work, with a mid-century feel, and I think it would be attractive as a fruit basket or display piece. The "Twin Scoop" wire fruit basket from around 1951 is also introduced with a similar asymmetrical, three-dimensional wire design and four legs. There are minor scratches, scuffs, and signs of use appropriate for its age. There is no significant deformation, and overall, it seems to be in a condition that can be used with a good atmosphere.
