This was made with the concept of "What kind of tote bag could I make if I seriously made one for myself that I could use for a lifetime?" It has no pockets or lining, and I aimed to create an incredibly simple, stylish Italian leather bag with a bag-sewn construction. I am quite satisfied with the result. I think it has a considerable capacity. It feels like a large tote bag that's just about the right size for a woman to carry. The handles are long enough to easily be worn over the shoulder. I have lavishly used Tuscany leather from Italy, selecting only the parts with beautiful patterns that are free of scratches and stains. This is the leather I had obtained and carefully stored, intending to use it once I became somewhat skilled at bag making. As a leather lover myself, it has an incredibly pleasant scent of oil leather. Some people may find it unpleasant, but it's a characteristic scent of Italian leather. The handles are connected with metal fittings, so they can be folded down. To give the bag opening strength, there is a lining of vegetable-tanned leather only at the bag opening, so the top doesn't collapse even when the bag is standing. I'm a little embarrassed to praise it so much, but I like it so much that I've become reluctant to use the bag I made for myself. Please consider it.
