This is an experimental tableware series created in collaboration with BON, an artist based in Kumamoto. The design is printed on a glaze containing a high amount of metal, and the reaction between the metal components of the glaze and the overglaze paint creates a unique color pattern unlike anything seen before. Regarding the gold pieces, they may discolor when exposed to acids such as vinegar, lemon, or grapefruit. We recommend avoiding the use of the gold pieces when serving foods containing acids.
