This is a tour jacket ordered by a soldier aboard the USS WASP (LHD-1) MICHIGAN, a US Navy vessel. At the time, American servicemen, much like with Sukajan jackets, would personally order jackets at embroidery shops around the base. Many unique pieces were created, reflecting their individual backgrounds and personal lives. This item is one of those, and can truly be called an art piece that tells a story. While wool bodies are common, this jacket is made of a very rare black cotton (possibly wool blend) material. The size is also good, making it attractive not only as a collector's item, but also for practical use.
