The shoulders are sewn together, but the hem is separate, so you can tuck in only the inner layer. The tag is on the side, and it's likely designed to be worn either way, front or back. My hairstyle has changed and it doesn't suit me anymore, but it's a long top that's easy to wear, so I think it can be worn regardless of age. I hope someone who likes it will wear it.
