This is a film adaptation of Jun'ichirō Tanizaki's novel of the same name, directed by Takashi Kaneda, who previously directed "Blue Song: Nodojiman Seishun-hen," 32 years after the original. The film stars Takumi Saitoh from "To You Someday" and "Akambo Shōjo," and Nao Nagasawa from "Dai Kessen! Chō Urutora 8 Kyōdai." In the early Meiji era, Sasuke worships the shamisen player Shunkin as a goddess and serves her devotedly as her disciple and caretaker. Shunkin is blind and talented in music, but her extravagant lifestyle makes their life difficult. Then, Ritaro from a prominent family becomes her disciple, drawn to Shunkin's beauty...
