This is a mid-sized plate with a "fukizumi" (blown ink) design of sparrows and bamboo, fired in Seto during the late Edo period. The design was created by placing a stencil cut with the sparrow and bamboo patterns and spraying iron glaze over it. The sparrows have a charming appearance. There is some distortion in the shape of the plate, and there are some chips and other damage. There are no cracks. The size is approximately 25.5 cm in diameter and approximately 4.1 cm in height.
