The defect is that the button on the left wrist is missing. It's a black button, so if you attach a replacement, it should still be perfectly wearable. The tweed material is timeless, and the jewels add a touch of formality. I wore it to my graduation ceremony (jacket only: paired with a different skirt)... and my commencement ceremony.
