I wore them with care, but the gold has worn off in areas like the toes and heels, and there are some slight wrinkles near the rubber part of the heel. I had a scary experience slipping in the rain with other leather-soled sandals, so I had the heels rubberized with a non-slip treatment when the rubber was replaced.
