1940s deck pants used during World War II. Genuine US military issue. NAVY DEPARTMENT CONTRACT NXss-23281 Features a reflector stencil on the back, and were worn with early navy-colored N-1 jackets. Compared to those with zippers and hooks, these are overwhelmingly rare and rarely come up for sale. Shows signs of wear. Fading, stains, dust, and fraying at the hem. There are also patches on the lining where fabric has been applied for repair. It is unknown what era these repairs were made. From the back to the crotch area, twill and denim fabric have been used as patches, and they were hand-stitched. There are moth-eaten areas and abrasions on the lining. Also, there are whitish stains throughout the lining. I tried to remove them with a brush and tape, but they wouldn't come off. Size is Medium. It's difficult to measure the actual dimensions, so please refer to the images where I've placed a measuring tape. Zippers are Talon. The pull tab is missing from the bottom zipper. The top zipper works, so it can be opened and closed. Due to the condition, it's difficult to mention everything, so please only consider purchasing if you understand vintage items.
