It has been about 50 years since it was manufactured. It is a rare ink that is rarely seen nowadays. The dark ink has a subdued luster and is a calm, pure black. The blackness is stronger than that of the Kobaido Benibana ink (five stars) (compared in a dry state). The light ink is basically black-brown, but it can also be reddish-purple to purplish-blue depending on the paper (probably because it is well-aged). Beautiful base lines also appear with light ink.
