(It was one of several violins they had purchased.) I was able to play it even when I was a beginner, so it's easy to press down the strings and play, and the sound is soft. I think the volume is a bit on the louder side, but when a teacher played it, they said it had a wide range of tones and depth in the high notes, and the sound was very good. The back plate is also tiger-striped wood, which I think gives it a cool appearance.
