.. "Walls" '80s Vintage Padded Vest This is a padded vest from "Walls," a long-established American workwear brand. This MADE IN U.S.A. piece, made with 60/40 cloth, is estimated to have been manufactured in the 1980s or earlier. It has been well-worn by the previous owner, with some stains and small tears, but it still has the outstanding character of workwear, making it a great vintage piece. The shell is made of 60/40 cloth, a high-density plain weave fabric woven from a blend of 60% cotton and 40% nylon yarns. The high density of the weave, the firmness and body it retains even now, and the solid feel when held, make it a truly excellent fabric. It features a stand-up collar with dot buttons, and 2-way pockets with flaps on both sides of the waist. The quilting stitches are all double-stitched, a time-consuming specification that involves running the lockstitch machine twice. While it has a rugged feel, the size is balanced enough for women to wear well.
