This is a "wagesa" (half-kesa) and its case, a "wagesa-ire." It was stored at my parents' house after a visit to Mount Koya. I believe it has hardly been used. The wagesa is a dark green color with paulownia and tomoe crests embroidered in gold thread. The bag, made of gold brocade fabric, is very luxurious. It closes with a button.
