I've heard that Lake Biwa pearls were popular overseas for their beauty. I searched for and bought this because I wanted to hold it in my hand. Although there are wrinkles and bumps, it has a strong luster and shines brightly. The bale is 18k gold. Please see the images for the size. It's a substantial size and would look great with a leather cord or a long necklace. I rarely used it and mostly just admired it. I'd like to pass it on to someone who is looking for it.
