Unlike the standard Tilz models, this mouthpiece has a heavier feel, and I felt it provided support. (Standard Tilz S8 = approx. 38g, this one = approx. 58g) Detailed specifications are unknown. There are scratches on the shank and small scratches on the rim. There are no noticeable scratches or stains to mention. Since there is no "A" engraving, and because it fits both my YAMAHA (1980s) and K&C instruments, I believe it is a European shank, but I'm not certain.
