I purchased this in Europe about 20 years ago. It's a beer stein famous as a souvenir from Germany. I've enjoyed displaying it in a curio cabinet, but it's become a bit cramped, so I'm reluctantly letting it go. I've never actually drunk beer from it, but I think it tastes better from a glass. (^▽^) The metal lid has an antique finish from the beginning, and it was in this condition when I bought it. I think this item was one of the best-looking ones on display. I think it's in good condition, but it's still a used item, so please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned.
