You can wear it under a sweatshirt or knit sweater, and the pony embroidery will peek out subtly from the hem. I had several of these, and this one is either unused or has been worn once. I noticed during the photoshoot that there were some brown, flaky bits stuck to the shoulder area. They look like they could be removed with tweezers, but the woven-in part is slightly brown. I'm not sure if it will come out in the wash. Since it's for layering, the shoulder area won't be visible, but I'll give it to someone who doesn't mind.
