This is a junk (defective) AVALON U5, which currently sells for nearly 200,000 yen when new. I tried to use it after a long time, and when I turned it on, there was a slight strange smell, and both the headphone jack and line output had severe noise, making it unusable. The cause of the failure is unknown, so it's unclear if it can be repaired, but there's a high possibility that electrolytic capacitors have deteriorated.
