This is a preamp pedal designed by Mark Sampson, the developer of Matchless amplifiers. Rather than a distortion pedal, this model is positioned as a preamp/simulator. It seems to be modeled after the top boost of the Vox Classic AC30, and it has a unique equalizer similar to Matchless amps. When the ALNICO switch is on and the EF86 knob is turned, a tube-like sound with overtones is added, which I personally like very much. I've only used it at home, but there is some dirt (rust?) on the knobs, although it's generally in good condition. Only the item itself, without the box or manual. One screw is missing from the back cover. Operation has been confirmed and there are no problems.
