1973, the first year the Nishitetsu Lions became the Taiheiyo Club Lions. Because there were many doubleheaders, it seems they made four types of uniforms and hats to keep the audience from getting bored: home, visitor, home second, and visitor second. At the time, pitchers like Toshiro Higashio were active for the Lions. This hat is a reproduction of the home second model. Blue and white are common, but I think this red and white one is quite rare. I obtained this about 25 years ago and have kept it in a box ever since. No returns or exchanges, please.
