Using four types of navy blue yukata fabric, I've created a cool-looking sleeveless, side-panel dress. All fabrics are new, and I've combined them with a slightly dark green cotton fabric.
The front and back shoulder yokes use yukata fabric, while the side panels and the area below the back yoke use cotton fabric with a fine kasuri-style pattern. The side panel fabric appears blue in the photos, but it's actually a slightly greenish navy blue.
It has a round neckline with a small opening in the back, secured with a rubber loop and a single button. Rubber is inserted under the armholes of the side panels to prevent the armholes from being too open.
It's a relaxed fit with a little gathering at the seam below the back yoke. It's a simple A-line dress, but the yukata fabric is joined vertically for a sleek design.
Seam allowances are serged. There is no lining.
A seam pocket using the side panel fabric is added on the right front side.
Length: 115cm
Underarm circumference: 105cm (with elastic under the arm)
Hem circumference: 250cm
Neck circumference: 64cm (one button in the back)
Armhole: 50cm (with elastic)
It has been home-laundered and ironed after finishing.
