There is a carving of plum blossoms and birds (warblers?). Such complex stone patterns are rare and unique, and are wonderful. Please check the photos. Glittering particles are densely visible across the ink path. This is a very old inkstone that has been well-used, so there is considerable wear and tear. There are scratches on the carved birds, the trunk, and the bottom of the inkstone. Please check the images. There are also scratches on the ink path from grinding ink that cannot be captured in the photos. Also, please understand that the color may appear slightly different in the photos. Photos 1 to 7 appear slightly darker in the images than in reality. Photos 8 to 15 were taken in a bright environment to make the stone patterns and scratches easier to see, and the colors appear brighter. No color processing has been done. The ink grinds well, and it is a very practical inkstone. The Song quarry is known for grinding ink quickly, so it is suitable for kanji.
