Tokoname-yaki is a pottery production area with a 1,000-year history dating back to the late Heian period, and is counted as one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns. A wide range of products are made, from daily necessities such as teapots and tableware to building materials such as ceramic pipes, tiles, and sanitary ware. On June 11, 1976, it was designated as a traditional craft product under the "Law for the Promotion of Traditional Crafts Industry." ■ The entire teapot is made of ceramic. It features a ceramic tea strainer (Ceram mesh) that can extract the umami of tea. ■ Please consider this capacity for 3-4 people (assuming 100ml per person). ■ The Shudei clay is fired at 1100 degrees Celsius. It is then carbonized at 800 degrees Celsius to turn it black.
