Thai Folk Instrument: Saw U (without bow) I received this from an acquaintance but am selling it as I don't use it. This is a rare Thai folk instrument. While there are no noticeable major scratches, I am an amateur, so please make your judgment based on the images. Everything in the photos is included; only the body, no bow. Inside the hole on the back, there are seeds? or tree bark? that make a rattling sound when shaken. While there are no noticeable major scratches, there are minor scratches from use and storage due to it being a used item. Please check the condition in the images. The Chinese erhu was introduced to Thailand. The body is made of hard wood. The back of the body is open, and snake skin is stretched over the front. It has a higher range than the Saw U. Saw U is used for the low-pitched part, and Saw Duang is used for the high-pitched part. It is used in Thai folk music called "Khruang Sai."
