This water bottle, made of thick aluminum, is believed to be from the early Showa era. It is presumed to have been issued to the Self-Defense Forces immediately after the war, making it a genuine vintage and retro item. Judging from the thickness of the mouth, it appears to be a sturdy item made with a generous amount of thick aluminum. ■ Features Practical details: The sturdy Bakelite-style cap is equipped with a connecting string to prevent loss. The lid is attached to the shoulder belt, and it seems possible to use the main body over a fire as a canteen. Rare strap included: The retro strap style, which directly holds the main body instead of a case (cover), is a very popular style in the antique market. The bottom and sides are flat, allowing for vertical or horizontal placement. ■ Condition Appearance: Due to its long history, there are fine scratches, small marks, and dents (see photo 4) on the surface, but the paint is durable and does not show much peeling. There is no damage that would lead to large cracks or leaks. This is a condition that can be enjoyed as part of its "character."
