We hope to find a wonderful connection with someone who will cherish these items. ★ Items for Sale BACCARAT Nîmes Old Baccarat Crystal Rare Nîmes Champagne Coupe Glass, 1 piece We are offering a beautiful Old Baccarat "Nîmes" champagne coupe, where the heavy crystal gathers light and shines with dignity. This model was originally created for the 1867 Exposition, but it was re-exhibited at the 1878 Exposition under the name "Nîmes," and has been known by this name ever since. The name, which is derived from the ancient city of Nîmes in the south of France, reflects respect for French regional culture and prestige. The deep, powerful facet cuts on the thick crystal cause the different angles to reflect light in a complex manner, creating depth and shadows within the glass. The brilliance changes with every glance, and this model series stands out for its "certain presence" rather than stillness. In 1960, the design of the base cut was changed and it was succeeded as "Juvisy," but it was discontinued in 1961, one year later. This item is an early production "Nîmes" model, but we also plan to separately offer Juvisy, which has a different base design while sharing the same bowl and stem shape. We hope you will enjoy the unique, heavy brilliance of Nîmes while also appreciating the differences from Juvisy. ★ Condition There are no chips or cracks, and the lustrous crystal shines beautifully, in very good condition.
