He is the vocalist of LUNA SEA and Tourbillon under the name RYUICHI. He is also active as an actor, novelist, and racer, and as a music producer under the name ЯK. All four singles included in this album, released in 1997, were hits (especially the second single, "Glass," which achieved million-seller status), and the album "Love" holds the record for the highest album sales by a male solo artist (this record has not been broken to this day). In his first year of solo debut, he also made his first appearance on the "48th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" at the end of 1997.
