【Traditional Japanese Craft】This is a large Imari ware bowl from Arita, a famous Japanese kiln that carries on the tradition of Ko-Imari (Old Imari). This large bowl features a design of extremely fine Nishiki (brocade) with Rokuhowari Houou (phoenix) in the center, painted in the unique Sometsuke and Nishiki style of Ko-Imari. The piece is believed to have been made during the Meiji period, approximately 150 years ago.
