This is a sha (gauze) obi (sash) from Saikijo Orimono, a prestigious Nishijin textile maker. The pattern, featuring woven chrysanthemums and wisteria, makes it suitable for wear from the spring single-layer kimono season through the height of summer and into the autumn single-layer kimono season. With its less sheer weave, it can be worn from May through September, offering a comfortable feel for a total of five months. This makes it a very versatile obi. The refined weave gives it a high-quality feel, making it suitable for formal occasions such as parties and ceremonies. Length: Approximately 4m43cm Purchased around 2010, it has been worn a total of 7 or 8 times. As shown in the third photo, there are fold marks on the part that wraps around the abdomen. Also, as shown in the fourth and fifth photos, there are wrinkles on the part that forms the otaiko (back knot), but of course, they are not visible when worn. There are no stains or spots.
