I believe this is a very impressive inkstone, carved with great care to the details. The box has considerable age-related damage and dirt, so the inkstone will be shipped alone. (The bottom of the first photo is the original box, but it was included for reference) Ink stains present. Scratches, abrasions, and dust that could not be removed are present in the carved areas. There is a small hole on the back of the lid, which appears to be original.
