This is a large shawl or stole made of velour material. It's quite old, but in very good condition. My grandparents worked with Japanese clothing, so I believe this is a stole to be worn over a kimono. (It has a lining) The retro pattern is lovely, and I think it would also look great worn over Western clothes or a coat.
