I made a zabuton (cushion) for Buddhist offerings. Instead of using rush grass, I wove it with mizuhiki (decorative paper cords, gold paper thread, and platinum paper thread) to create the zabuton. I hope it can be used for special occasions such as temple visits and memorial services. Size: Approximately 70 x 70 cm, thickness approximately 6 cm ※Instead of rush grass, the cushion (raw fabric) is woven with mizuhiki. Mizuhiki is made by twisting Japanese paper into a cord, applying glue, and hardening it. This is then wrapped with gold and silver thin paper to create gold paper mizuhiki. This is a Kinran Gozen-goza (gold brocade cushion) woven with gold paper mizuhiki.
