Enrico Pieranunzi 6CD BOX ENRICO PIERANUNZI A male jazz pianist born in Rome in 1949. He began playing the piano at age 5 and entered the Frosinone Conservatory in his late teens. He earned degrees in composition and piano. He then became devoted to jazz and turned professional at 19. He gained worldwide recognition after collaborating with Art Farmer on the Soul Note label's recording of "Isis" (1980). He is a leading pianist who legitimately inherits the aesthetics of Bill Evans, and his lyrical sense of melody and advanced technique are highly regarded.
