Thank you for viewing. This is a very old lacquer hairpin. It was stored in a Japanese chest of drawers. It is a multi-faceted tsuishu (carved cinnabar lacquer) hairpin. Upon close inspection, there are small scratches, but it can be used without any problems. The luster is good, and I think the condition is quite good.
