Purchased around 1975 at my parents' home and apparently used a few times. Originally there were 5, but now there are 4. It seems it originally came in a wooden box, but I couldn't find it. It says "Hana" (flower), so I believe it's from Hana Kiln, but I apologize if that's incorrect. They are very thin, light, and delicately made, but with a smooth surface, a beautifully round form, and a lively hand-painted floral dance, these teacups show a high level of craftsmanship. The stems and line portions are accented with gold leaf for a festive touch. Since they are hand-painted, the size and placement of the patterns vary slightly for each cup. There are some areas where the stem lines appear to be thin (faded).
