The design is by Peter Moore, who is also famous for designing the Adidas performance logo, a triangle with three lines. The wing mark was inspired by a replica of the US Air Force pilot wings that Peter Moore saw while traveling by plane. At the time, red x black, red x white x black, white x gray, blue x white, and white x blue metallic were released in Japan.
