A gourd-shaped kama (tea kettle) made by Okuni Tōbē. Okuni Tōbē is a family of kama masters who have succeeded the name for several generations, starting with the first generation, Okuni Hakusai. The first Okuni Tōbē was particularly known as a kama master in Osaka, and he won a gold medal at the Anglo-Japanese Exhibition in 1907. The gourd-shaped kama is a type of tea kettle shaped like a gourd, used in the tea ceremony. It was sometimes displayed at the entrance of the shop, but its usual place is stored in a box. #OkuniTōbē
