A world-renowned photographer, also awarded an honorary title by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. Born in Shanghai, China in 1953. A member of the China Photographers Association and the Japan Professional Photographers Society, he has a background as a photojournalist for Shanghai Pictorial, a visiting professor at Shanghai Normal University, and Vice Chairman of the World Chinese Photography Union. In Japan, he received the 36th Sun Award in 1999. In 2000, he was awarded the honorary title of "World Chinese Outstanding Artist" by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. His works are housed not only in Chinese art museums but also in the Chinese Embassy in Japan and the United Nations Headquarters in New York. He has held exhibitions in Japan, China, America, Canada, and France. In 2002, he held an exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
