I acquired this doll a few years ago, but I've decided to sell it as I'd like to pass on my collection of antique dolls to someone new. This is a repatriated doll from America, made for export in the 1910s. It's a doll made around the same time as Morimura, commonly known as "Yamato." Height: Approximately 34cm Sitting Height: Approximately 25cm (Measurements are approximate due to difficulty in measuring) ▪️Head▪️ Markings: 602 No1(?)0018 Nippon There are no lines or chips in the bisque. There are some areas of missing white paint on the tip of the nose and cheeks, but these are not scratches. The pate and wig are glued on. The two teeth give her a cute, childlike appearance. ▪️Body▪️ The paint on the composition body has cracked due to age, but I don't think it will peel off easily. I have re-examined and reinforced it. It appears to have been repeatedly repaired and repainted over the long years. ▪️The dress she is wearing is vintage. The underpants are vintage or antique, and the slip (chemise) was custom-made by an artist. ▪️The items included are everything in the last image. The pink dress, hat, and socks were handmade by the previous owner. ◆◆This doll has been cherished and repaired repeatedly. I hope to pass her on to someone who loves old dolls and will continue to cherish her.
