A portion of the collected stamps affixed to the doctor's writing paper. ＜ Hermann Clemens Grauert ＞ 1895 (Meiji 28) - 1980 (Showa 55) Graduated from the University of Munich, a German physician. He also held a Doctor of Medicine degree in Japan and married a Japanese woman. He continued medical charity work for 40 years. His book "The Road to Tomorrow: The Advice of a Doctor" was published in 1958. He was arrested in 1943 (Showa 18) for the crime of abortion. His father, Hermann L. Grauert, came to Japan around the first year of Meiji and was a businessman who succeeded his brother's trading company and served as a committee member of the Yokohama Foreign Cemetery Management Committee.
