Aizu cotton found during a trip to Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture in 2024. A set of 37 pieces in total, including large, medium, and small sizes. I've gathered together square and rectangular fabrics. The colors are a mix of cool, warm, and intermediate tones, from solid colors to patterned fabrics, making them very vibrant. The fabrics have a textured feel, and each one has its own unique character. Aizu cotton is known to be cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It becomes more durable with repeated washing. Even with scraps, you can create large works by joining the pieces of fabric together. It becomes a concerto where individual personalities harmonize with each other. You can create one-of-a-kind, wonderful pieces such as patchwork coasters, placemats, pouches, and drawstring bags. It also seems possible to make unique patchwork bags.
