This is a donkey jacket from England. Vintage, made in the 1950s. It's made of thick, navy melton wool with a slight nep texture. The storm patch is made of the same melton wool as the jacket, not PVC or leather, so it's comfortable to wear. The pocket linings are reinforced with cotton tape, as seen in British military and workwear from before the 1950s. The buttons have been replaced, but they are all thick corozo nut buttons, not cheap plastic. Shoulder width 52cm, body width 63cm, length 83cm, sleeve length 64cm. Equivalent to men's XL. The tips of both shoulders, both cuffs, and the second and third buttonholes have been hand-repaired for reinforcement. There is overall fading and some fabric wear, but no significant stains or damage. You rarely see donkey jackets this old anymore.
