This book is a reprint published in response to requests from many childcare workers studying Steiner education. Under the supervision of the late Dr. Helmut von Kügelgen, the founder of the International Waldorf Kindergarten Association, it includes not only the basic theory and materials of Steiner education but also practical childcare methods and introductions to teaching materials centered on the field. It is compiled mainly from lecture notes and practical training records based on practices in Steiner kindergartens. Although it is over 20 years old, its contents are still essential for our learning and self-education as childcare workers and as individuals standing before children. The Japan Steiner Early Childhood Education Association has reorganized and reprinted it as a "handbook" for childcare workers to always return to the "origins of Steiner early childhood education."
