It is made using old fabric that was used for kimonos, etc. It is initially stiff with starch, but it softens and becomes comfortable to hold after a while. (Photo 5 shows the one I am currently using, and it is packed with coins.) Because it is made from rare fabric, even if the pattern is the same, it will have a different impression depending on the part used, making it a one-of-a-kind item. Originally, because the old fabric would develop holes after several years of use, I would collect patterns I liked whenever I went to Kyoto. I am selling the ones with duplicate patterns.
