This design was created with the image of seasonal fruits from a French market, arranged monthly and gathered like swags. The fruits, corresponding to each of the 12 months of the year, are arranged in a circular pattern. Furthermore, the design is divided into four sections to represent the four seasons. Manipuri scarves are hand-screen printed one by one by Japanese artisans, with hand-rolled edges. The fabric is 12-momme twill weave silk.
