This is a set made from a modern patterned komon kimono that has been carefully unpicked and home-cleaned. The set includes a tunic and a skirt. The tunic has a clean V-neck with a longer back. The sleeves and hem are piped with brown silk that was originally used for the lining (hakkake). The skirt is made from six panels of fabric cut into long trapezoids. It has a continuous facing construction without a waistband, creating a clean look around the waist and hips. This set has a smooth, comfortable feel and looks great worn alone or layered.
