Purchased several years ago and no longer in use. I tested it this year and it worked without any problems. Line is spooled on the reel, but consider it a bonus. You can use it as is. There is some aging, and the sponge on the back of the main body is peeling off in places, but this does not affect use. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item.
